Addiscombe? I was born in the Addiscombe Rd Nursing Home!

It surely is a small world.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Well I went to school at Ashburton Sec, very close to the park and when married lived in Teevan Rd, Addiscombe. Sissinghurst is at the end of Teevan, as a teenager I had mates who lived in Longhurst Rd and Gardens. Certainly a small world  ;)

Progress is being made

The Beaufort is standing on her own legs now, so she's getting closer to completion. Her transfers took no time at all as the aircraft I'm modelling had very few, other than the basic markings and those I used were Xtradecal which tend to perform very well  I'd decided to model this particular aircraft because I was attracted to the scheme when I saw an illustration of it in one of Paul Lucas's "Colour Conundrum" articles in SAM a few months back. Xtradecal were obviously impressed as well, as it's included in their recent Beaufort sheet which I bought for the SEAC example, so I need another Beaufort or maybe a Boston ?

Airfix's engineering on the undercarriage is typical of their current approach. Providing you follow the instructions then it simply clicks together, indeed the undercarriage doors just "snap" into place with the way they are designed  Also like Airfix's recent tooling's if you miss-align a previous part or don't clean parts up properly then you will be reminded of it latter. Nothing you can't get around but fit can be tight. Lovely kit though

No modelling today, had a bit of a ruck in M&S and I'm still annoyed

Getting angry doesn't do my medical issues any good which is why I avoid it wherever possible, but this morning !

Got an interesting reply from M&S re my complaint. It wasn't the usual automated reply, actually asked for more details.

Managed a little more work on all 3 current projects. How come the "finals" seem to take so long ?

Happy Birthday, if somewhat belated. I blame Putin for the delay, btw. That SOB is eating up all my mental energy for the moment.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Maybe he'll come down with Russian Flu. Or he'll walk near a window. Defenestration is a leading cause of death in Russia! Or he'll end up like Beria, crying like little bitch in his cell before lights out...

I'm late to the party again, but a slightly belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  Chris.
