Had a day out yesterday. Will now spend a day or two recovering, so no modelling for a bit  :-\.

Got around to some gentle modelling and the Tempest is now ready for it's transfers

I should do some work on some of mine as well. A chance to produce something new for Perth  :-\

This is the Airfix Tempest V which is real world. Hopefully I'll be starting on the KP Tempest II's over the weekend. Both to be Wiffed and I have the necessary markings for one which at one point yesterday I didn't think I did

I have two of those, one started and in the process of being modified into a VI using a Freightdog conversion set.

Very little progress as I spent most of yesterday afternoon and this morning fighting a losing battle with MS Word  :banghead: I've never got on with it (we used Lotus 123 & their word processor package at work) and the recent changes they've made combined with the fact that I don't use it much made for an incredibly frustrating 6/7 hours or so. Mainly to so with formatting and the blasted thing trying to change things once I'd done them and thought saved my changes. I really would like to meet the design team for a friendly chat.  Finally got to a point I could live with and the Newsletter is finished  although there's still one small thing I don't understand, but life's to short

Seriously thinking if I can find a local night school which does a basic computing for old farts course. Main problem I have is that I'm self taught on fairly old school kit and that doesn't sit with a lot of the newer systems/packages.

Still onwards and upwards  ;D

Cheers gents.

Meanwhile very little done today. Managed to get the non specific airframe transfers on the Tempest and the Airfix transfers behaved impeccably. I screwed the wing leading edges up, but then I knew from the start I should have masked and painted them, but hey-ho such is life

If I'm honest I pushed myself too hard over the last week and the tussle with MS Word was the last straw. My oft remarked health conditions kicked in a tad and when that happens it's best to give up trying to do anything that requires high degrees of concentration levels and relax, reading's good  Unfortunately it's the second FA Cup Semi this afternoon - "Come on you Eagles" - so I can't see myself getting much of that  ;)

I still think Swedish would have been nicer.. ;)
Nah, just pushing it a bit for fun. It's great work and a really cool plane.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I would like to have several words with the MS Word design group  after you have finished with them, Chris.

Madame Rheged found a FREE 10 week course on "Computing for Old Codgers"  in Leominster three years ago and found it very useful.   Apparently the government sponsor such courses every couple of years.  She found the only problems were :-

1)   A two hour session staring at a screen makes you considerably boggle-eyed
2)   The tutor has to progress at the speed of the slowest member  (convoy rules)   and
3)   There are always people on these free courses who seem to have joined for the social aspect of the gathering.

Bridget was lucky in her course, as the tutor split the group into what she called "serious" and "dilettante" participants and concentrated on the ones who wanted to learn.

Please may I add my name to the list of people impressed with the Lancer?

Yea, but then people would have thought it was a Re 2000  ;)

I see no problem with confusing people with that.
