So not quite requiering an Archeology degree?

Gondor

Nope  ;) Although I've always found archaeology a fascinating subject and my knowledge of ancient military history isn't bad

Some progress on the Hurricane, detailed elsewhere, and the pair of Tempest Mk II's, although if I'm honest the weather hasn't been ideal for both, especially the Mk II's. Just to hot and sticky.

Also started to think what will be next up after the Hurricane, although it will get started before it's finished. Nothing to complicated or tricky required as I'd like to get at least one of  the Mk II's finished for Telford. So settled on one of the AZ Me 109's. They are nice kits and go together well and quickly, plus a couple come with "What if" options included in the box

Given the "fun" that started yesterday on Aviva West Coast routes yesterday and given the fact that it's only likely to get worse I started looking at alternatives for the London/Birmingham leg of my Telford trip. Could well go from Marylebone on Chiltern Rail, probably have to stick my little finger out whilst drinking tea if I do though ?  ;)

As long as you travel in three-piece tweed and a proper bowtie...  ;)

Fedora I think. Indeed I have one somewhere from when Malcolm Allison wore one whilst he was manager of Palace on our run to the semis whilst in the Third Division and "everyone" started wearing one

Is there any other sort of hat worth wearing? Apart from a straw trilby in the summer of course.

But for that, it must be a linen suit, not tweed.

One can get away without the suit nowadays. Long sleeved shirt and tie of course, but no jacket  ;)
