The Wooksta!

Having quickly done some research online, it would appear that the Lebanese decided against getting fighters in immediate post war years, and given that the Israelis only had the S-199, it wasn't a bad decision.
Well, not until the Israelis got Mustangs anyway.  The first fighters they got were Vampires.
So, French supplied iffy 190s, gifted, could do the trick.  When they go unserviceable, they get Spitfires.  I got distracted by the prospect of a shiny aluminium F22 with Lebanese markings.

Or have I already done one in a desert scheme and Lebanese markings? I know I did a 22 in a desert scheme with a Middle Eastern user, I don't recall which one.

It's nicely moulded but the top pinches in too much, the canopy is too narrow - all of their 190s have the same flaw (and the D15 has the wrong fin).  I've got one D-11 and won't be buying another. The old RV one isn't as nicely moulded but has a vastly better fuselage.

And the D-15 is the one I've got

I'll sort you out with a correct Ta 152 fin.  Simple cut and shut just aft of the parallel box section.

Agee with regard to getting the correct crosses under the wing. It's getting the details right that help with the credibility of the whiff.

Same here. I try to maintain a bit of of plausibility and i think markings are the type of details that can be a defining aspect to achieve a more believable result.

So your "Nachtjäger" 190D, are you using the FuG 217 or the FuG218?

One of the centrimetric ones they were getting late war, mounted in a pod on the centreline rack.  Think Firefly with an ASH pod.  FuG 240 perhaps if I can find something big enough that still clears. I'm unsure how big FuG 244 was, but as it was to go into the Ho 229, I'd suspect somewhat smaller.

So a drop tank approx 10mm diameter should be about right.  I'll see what I can find in my spares boxes.

I think I may have an ancient Airfix Firefly tank/pod if it helps?

I've a mould for that somewhere, did it to go with my Spiteful, but thanks anyway.
In any case, it's the wrong shape.  A similar look to ASH pod on the Firefly I is what I'm aiming for.

Given that the German centimetric radar was developed from captured H2S from crashed Lancasters, a smaller one reverse engineered from a crashed ASH equipped  Mosquito isn't too far a stretch.
