The Wooksta!

I'll be doing some of the decalling over the weekend.  Still not sure where the fin flashes would go, or even if it would have them at all.

There should be a build article for you when it's done.

I put them on the outside of the upper engine on each side for my 1/144 version. Looks odd but it works.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Cheers Lee, no hurry

FRADU Swift sounds like a good idea to me. Simply replace the nose camera with the Harly Lamp and add a hook under the rear of the aircraft and paint accordingly, the thought had recently crossed my mind but you have beaten me to it.

All sounds splendid and the pics I've seen of the Vanquish at the show look great

Ah the old infertile hybrids problem, incompatible chromosomes? If it is just unreactive pants then Pfizer have a product that'll help

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Why bother with a hook? The only reason that the FRADU Hunters had hooks was that they were inherited, the Navy ones had airfield arrestor hooks for deck landing training. The FRADU Swift on the go is a straight FR5 that Airwork got cheap when they were withdrawn.

As it was, there were plans drawn up for naval Swifts, as well as armed Type 510s which became the Type 520.

Really don't want to be dragged down the Swift rabbithole, but there are some interesting projects in the line.

The Vanquish looks TERRIFIC! Love the scheme, and the tail radar too.

Other builds you've been posting to T o'T's facebook page are splendid as well

For the FD3 from the old PLA print you're refurbing. Would it be possible to use a fine soldering iron or something to open up some wheel bays? The softening temperature is about 60degrees and it prints at 200

A Dremel saw works as well but you need to take fine nibbles at it or the heat build up is a nuisance and flings molten plastic everywhere (3 guesses how I know that)

The Wooksta!

I can live with it being an in flight model - fits well with the in flight Swifts and Attackers I have.  Also makes it easier to transport.

I'm also refurbing that odd twin boom thing and thinking about the old Frog DH110 too.
