Sentinel Chicken

Some of the Texas Whiffers with our honorary guest from the UK......

I had arrived to set up my tables before Brad and Phil got there and I was specifically instructed by the IPMS guys in charge to keep Brad in line. It's a lousy job, but I took one for the team and stepped up to the plate and kept him from teabagging several folks.

Since JP didn't mention it, the Whiffer on the left is non other than Uber engineer Evan Mayerle.  I think everybody else is known.

Oh schnap, forgot to post a picture of the Whiff Industries JMN Detector:

This was the highlight of the show for me, personally. ;)

Howard of Effingham

i especially like the Pan Am F-111  ;D ;D ;D ;D
Keeper of George the Cat.

The Wooksta!

Who's the tall dude in the black t-shirt?

Looking forward to seeing Brad at Telford later this year.

That would be RotorheadTX, Wook.

And yes, the trip to Telford this year is well anticipated!  Who ever's offer to take me to the curry house is still on the table, right?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

We'll probably ALL go, as usual.

We'll have to pre-warn them that Duncan Overkiller's coming along though, so they can lay in extra stock.....   ;)

Hmm He does bare more than a passing resemblance to his Avatar

About time we are able to put a face to the name  ;D

And a black mark for the member of the IPMS(UK) exsec committee for missing the society's AGM.......................................
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

That'll mean a Indian then instead of the Chinese which may slow Duncan down a bit.  ;) ;D

Yep, new 1/72 RoG Grizz.  My gawd, such a nice fitting kit, minus the mods of course, and the canopy which needed shims in the front to get it proper.  I did the cockpit and got the fuselage going while Phil snagged some Heller E-3F AWACS CFM-56 motors and got busy with mating them with the wing.  He also fashioned out the winglets from the AWACS wingtip ESM pods and nameless wing shapes from my stash.  Worked the joins on the tail and wing to be transportable.  (Telford anyone?  ;D)  After toying around with the idea of gunship, we hashed out special forces support.  FLIR under the nose, very small SAAF markings, etc.

It's not quite done.  Need to add aerials, RWR/ECM odds and sods, etc but will  be done shortly and I will post more when it is.

Oh and here was the inspiration, a profile from Bladerunner.  Thanks John!!
