Well this is where you can put all your Gnat or even Hawk builds

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

O.K.
This is my Gnat, which somehow seemed to have started this theme build,
(the original thread kind of took on a life of its own)
So it only seems fair that I should post the first one  ;D

Modifications to the original Airfix T1 kit include; moving the slipper tanks to the
outboard position, adding sidewinders and shortening the fin, I also converted
it to a single seat by shortening the canopy and building a new spine,
details on the original thread  http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,34946.0.html

So, lets see yours

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

And if you need inspiration (for a Gnat build) there's this thread as well http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,18130.0.html
And if you need Gnats (although you might need to be quick) :o

Although I am sure there are others.

Got 5 Airfix new ones just waiting.....I'll slip them in between building real stuff (shock horror!!!) for the club display.
All will be single-seaters
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

I may even be tempted into building something relatively modern for a change, if I can think of an idea  :banghead:

You can always put a prop on one Chris..............  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

But that's why we're here.  ;D

It could be a four element, small diameter contra-prop........  ;)

More Gnattery - this one was built for the recent Cosford show (see the 'Operation Cosford' thread), and was intended as a take on the Gnat F1 prototype on display there.  As I think I said in either that thread or TallEng's Gnat build thread, the plan was always to adorn it with squadron markings and to tool it up.  Well here is the finished product:

It's finished in Leuchars-based 603 Sqn colours at the time of the 50th Anniversary Review of the RAF in 1968.  The F2 was developed from the T1 (in this alternative world that's how Teddy Petter would have done it); a later, radar-equipped Gnat F3 would be developed, although that did not see service with the RAF.

Enjoy!  ;D ;D

I Like the 'raked' fin flash, looks much better than the more normal 'square' one.
