Sharp looking build- although simple in colors, the Marineflieger colors look sharp on a lot of aircraft.

Very nice, the old Matchbox kit scrubs up well!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I defnitly like to build this one. Even if it was na old kit, it was better to build then some of the newer ones. (I am currently a bit desperating about a LEE ship model and a Rodan Bus - they have quite some potential to fly out of the window....)

But here is a little add-on to the Luftwaffe A-7. As  the story behind this was that the A-7 replaced the Marineflieger F-104 Starfighters, here is the "predescessor" of the A-7 in Luftwaffe duty (even if this one is no what-if) together with the A-7:

Always thought the A-7 would have been a good fit for the Marineflieger
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Very nice! Is there perhaps some documentation (esp photos) about the german A-7, flying carrier ops....?  ;) ;D

I just came across this related picture from 1966: http://www.flugzeugforum.de/spitraider-what-if-modellbau-31343-515.html

Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.

I am not 100% sure where this little tractor comes from, as I took it from a big box of spare parts I once got from ebay. But afaik, this one is part of a 1:72 hangar set which was made by Revell some years ago.

I am currently working on a Marineflieger project, too (a Super Étendard, leased from France in the early 80ies, inspired by a profile from PantherG), and the German Luftwaffe actually considered the A-7 as a potential attack aircraft for the Marineflieger squadrons, along with the A-4 and the Buccaneer, which had been the favorite. Finally, the F-104G was bought, through dubious political channels...

The A-7 looks VERY good, esp. in the early Tornado colors.

Some Kormoran missiles instead of the iron bombs would suit her well, too?
