Had the proposed HMS Agincourt  been further along could it have converted to an aircraft carrier and would it have been worth the effort.

AFAIK, she was never actually laid down, so there was nothing to convert. At the time, battleships were very much the prime weapon, so losing one to build a carrier would not have happened. Perhaps, if Hood's sisters had been built, some of the QEs could have been converted around the time of the Washington Naval Treaty - keep the new Admiral class, and lose the likes of Eagle, Argus, Glorious etc to be have converted QEs instead? But that would have been hugely expensive (and would require an alternative WNT) at a time when the naval arms race had escalated out of control (hence the treaty).
