The first plane for this year should be something that is classic use of putty, sanding, scrachbuilding without any 3D printing.

This will be the Polish Airforce PZL-237 Duży łoś.
Base on the PZL-37 medium bomber, this will be a 4-engine enlarged version of it.

Therefore, I need two of those PZL-37 kits. each of them around 5€ directly ordered in Poland.

The production quality is, well, its not good. But anyway, many parts will be ripped apart to scrachtbuild something from it. As with many Polish model producers, the plastic is very "soft".

I will start with the wings, taking two to make one

hope that this goes well    as my mental image looks good, your plastic will be splendid.
and i have no dought that Kit will be along shortly to add his joy at seeing longer wings as well.
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

ABSOLUTELY!   ;D

An excellent wing lengthening technique as well.

I have a soft spot for the Los because the Secretary of the White Eagle Club in Derby, an ex-Polish and RAF pilot called Tadek Unpronounceable, who I knew very well back in the 70s, flew one of them to France, all the way across Germany, after the Nazis invaded Poland in 1939! He took all his crew and some of his ground crew as well, and they all lived to fight another day. An amazing bloke.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

That's a pretty ballsy stunt - and good on him for not just bugging out on his own.

Sounds like something that might have appeared in a Commando comic back in the day...

Well it was, almost ALL of the club members had similarly unpronounceable names too!  :o

The only ones with names that could be pronounced were me and my mate Bob Owen.  ;D

Tadek was very downbeat about the flight, and just said 'We had to do it to carry on the fight' which was the attitude they ALL held.

This blasted editor keeps on adding an 'un-quote' icon at the end of my post, and I can't edit it out, it's nothing to do with me!  :banghead:

See what I mean?

It seems to be embedded in the preceeding post somehow.

There you go.
Rick left out the end quote between the unpronounceable and the thumbs up.
He said smugly.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yeah, I found exactly the same thing; not showing up in preview and reappearing in the post... First World Problems, and we manage to decipher things anyway, so... meh.

Teach me to try and make multiple quotes in my replies...  ;D

Oh man, this is abut the worst kit I ever used. Better not to talk about fit and production quality. A lot of flash everywhere and yes, the parts fit together - somehow. But not as they should.

Anyway, as this kit will put apart and put together in a new form, this should be solved somehow. I hope so.

Main focus is still making the wings larger. Inner and outer parts are now connected

A view form the other site, some support that it holds together

And bringing the wing (upper part) in the right shape
