I like those HobbyBoss models. they have a quite good fit quality. And they are pretty cheap usually.

The interior is completed so far:

More of the other parts are made and painted

Starting to add everything to the hull

As this is a What-If model, some additional parts need to be printed.

Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I know, using transparent resing makes it almost impossible to the what is printed there. But I can confirm, that no dragon is involved.... :)

Obviously chandeliers for the interior...

I've built a couple of 1/72 Hobby Boss choppers and thoroughly enjoyed them.
What I like to do with a UH-34/Wessex is add a second door on the LH side.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yeah, why didn't they do that in the RW? It's so ruddy obvious!

Maybe a structural reason, doors need holes to cover and they're weak spots. (My old structural testing brain at full throttle here....)

Of course they DID do that with the Puma, the Wessex's successor.

I wish someone would make this in a larger scale..48th is fine but 35th would be much better 😊
I might have to bite the bullet and get a 48th one 🤔
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

More doors equal less seats unless you run them down the middle facing outwards.

Which is exactly what they did with the Puma..................

I have one ... maybe two? ... Wessexes in 1/48.

1/35 would be nice but that's about as likely as me getting my CH-53D/E in 1/35, although I hold out small hope that ICM may, one day, produce one.

After all, they produced this:

Actually, my stash of unbuilt 1/35 helicopters is getting a bit silly - I really should build some!*

Trust me mate it's possible your pile of choppers ain't that bad.
I picked up the 2 Su27s ..the Ventura and the Invader yesterday and this gents collection was awesome..well over 200 aircraft and he would have had at least 40 helicopters including H34s and Wessex's ..it was really impressive Guy..all very well made.
I don't mind the Wessex but there's just something about this helicopter I really like ..and I don't know why  ;D
I think he's got every CH-53 model you can get in 72nd and 48th .
He told me he's built a heap of models for the Ardmore Museum..it's a smallish airfield in Auckland..says there's over 2000 models there..dude I gotta see that  ;D
