Finally wings and fuselage are glues together. The crew is on board now, however those poor gunners had to loose one arm otherwise they would not have fit into. So I had to cut it off and glues it back to the gunner once they were in position.

Next will be the landing gear and some smaller parts.

As some mentioned the camo: This was one used by the Luftwaffe before WW2, you see this on pics of Ju 86 bombers. However, all Do23 I found were in plain grey, but as this is boring and we are in What-If world, I choose this camo here.

Better and better.

I like those 'two level' props.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I like that, particularly in the 3 coloured 1930's splinter camouflage

Mind you I'm now "seeing" it in a "Lozenge" scheme

Everything is in place now, the glossy finished as preparation for the decals is also added:

My engineer now checks the decals from the spare parts box, which ones are good to be used

And VERY good too.

I note you've got the engine exhausts on the sensible way round, unlike Handley Page and Rolls Royce who installed them facing FORWARDS!  :o

Quite funny that you wrote that it looks "very German" - as its 80% of the original Heyford. I just removed the lower wing, added a single fin tail and made a new landing gear. Plus a different camo of course.

@PR19_Kit: Ahm, yes, I first did not believe that the original had the exhausts looking forward. I wonder it the engineers stood in front of them too long to get such an idea...

The Arado Ar-80 was one of the competitors of the Me 109 in the competition for a new single seat fighter.

It failed, as the Messerschmidt design was much more advanced. But what if there would have been a potential customer for this plane?

Lets start a What-If.

This is the box of the Huma 1/72 kit:

And this is in there- not so much:

This will be an alternative paint job, so the model itself will be build OOB.

I've got a few of them too, and they always struck me as being very well engineered, especially the one they did of the Fw Triebflugal.
