That's the Revell kit, isn't it?  Love Rotodynes.  Looking forward to this.

You can't go wrong modelling a 'dyne, they look great no matter WHAT you do to them. Looking forward to your version TC.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thats correct. It`s a nice little kit once you get your head around it. As I`ve built one already this year I`m fully prepared this time.

Now, the plus or minus, depending on your point of view with this kit, is that you have the option to `open up` one side of the model to show the interior.

Thats not for me in this case so it`s out with the tape and `green`.

Before....

During......

And after.....

So I`m going to let this dry, then smooth it off, remain calm and carry on.....!

A good start. I've two of the Airfix in the closet, and I love to see what people do with what would have been a good idea.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

So whats this version going to be, i get the impression it might be something Shiney  ;D

Speaking of the Rotodyne, it would be interesting crossing a Rotodyne with the Do-31, using the Rotodyne fuselage with the Do-31 propulsion.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Got a 'dyne in the stash. Still not sure what to do with it. Was thinking RAF transport/gunship (e.g. Mi-24) but I think I'll join SC and Mossie and sit back and watch!  :drink:

I've got three, two Airfix, one Revell.  They keep getting pulled out and put back!  I've got some Tyne engines that I robbed from a Transall so one will probably be an interim between the type Y and type Z, the other two simple repaints.  Not sure what liveries to do, a water bomber is one I've fancied, maybe an RAF version.  A commuter airliner could be on the cards as although this was to be the Rotodynes primary role, we tend to focus on the military so I'm intrigued with TC's silver finish...

But until I get around to them, God knows when, I'm happy to oggle TC's creations!
