He did too! Despite the fact that it was BUCKETING down with rain at intervals during the day.

An excellent show, as the Yate event always is, Andy White and his team produced the usual tour de force and the Cafe did a good job of pushing back the threats of starvation and dehydration.

During the chatting Radish, Narses2 and I all came to the conclusion that at our collective ages (pushing 300 maybe.... ;D) and with the current modelling market, we'd all reached a point of modelling nirvana in that we could go round a show the size of the Yate event and quite cheerfully NOT buy anything on offer!  ;D

I really didn't buy anything from any of the traders, but collected the two Crowood books that I'd bought from Chris (thank you sir, that'll keep me in reading materials for a while  ) and also got a resin aid package from OGL that should result in at least three models, one of them not built by me.....  ;)

I took a bunch of piccies, and I'll post them on here later, but in the meanwhile here's a taster of the SIG stand. Sorry about the reflective blast from my hi-vis jacket, I should have dumped it out of flash range.

Right now I'm going to have a lengthy snooze 'cos I'm knackered!

Apologies for missing the show, and I am really REALLY pissed off at missing it. I'm halfway there just outside Swindon and I get engine troubles. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: No idea but the recovery bod thinks it might be the water pump, but it's going back to the dealer as soon as dad gets it organised  and the damm car is only about 15 months old!!!

Lancer, ouch sorry to hear that.  hope that its an easy/ cheap fix.

Kit im waiting for the phots, as my younger brother said he was going, ( he looks kind like a yonger version of me with shorter hair ) so im hopeing to spot him so i can give him some stick when next time we speak.

Here's the pics (takes ruddy AGES to edit, filter and upload them!)

Then other Whiffs I saw around the show. We all agreed there were far fewer Whiffs on the other stands than have been noted before.

I have NO idea what this is, but it looked great

Cheers for the pics Kit

Yup good show and as Kit says no stash increase on my part. Rad was on great form although I must stop feeding him

Got home about 8:30 last night so approx 5 1/2 hour journey. All the trains were on time so no problem and first class was almost empty (unlike standard which was rammed  :banghead:) so nice and comfortable journey all for £18 each way   Knackerd when I got home though, can't do this travelling any more.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Howard of Effingham

it was a very good show indeed, but as usual the hall got WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too hot.

on our stand i especially liked narses french typhoon, and was quite pleased with the appreciation my RP-4A ELINT privateer got.

thanks for posting the pictures kit.

Howard, I forgot to take a pic of the underside of your IDF Angel interceptor!  :banghead:

That had to be seen to be believed, I can tell you!  <_<

No Alastair, it was the one above it, looks like a Luft 46 CV-22 with a removable cargo pod.
