Current build, for a group build on Facebook: a customised, modified 1:100 Buster Gundam. Current progress:

I am at university, and thus away from my stash and ridiculous backlog, so it may be some time before anything previously mentioned here gets seen again....

A bit of progress on the above build - mahoosive sword under construction, and some other bits.

Also painting a 1:100 scale pilot figure for a little competition on FB. Going cross-eyed and blind trying to paint it! Not to mention the shaky hands...

Finished the pilot figure. I really suck at this! 1:100 scale, so around 2cm high. Looks ok at arm's length...!

An "in situ" shot:

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

The pilots pretty good.
Better than my usual 1/72 efforts.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

And I'll third it

Learnt something new as well. Never knew they had pilots, just thought they were thinking mechanicals ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No, they're big piloted suits. Usually by angsty teenagers with no training, at that! Utterly daft, but good fun. :)

BBC News this a.m. was talking about the big annual Anmie/Manga (forgive my spelling it's all Greek to me) festival in Japan. Apparently it's the first time non Japanese fans have been invited ? I'm only beginning to realise just how big this thing is world wide and I must admit I find the artwork interesting when I glance at the big section in one of my local Waterstones.

My daughter is into it big time. She was so happy to go off to college and find others who loved it as much as she did. We live in a pretty small town with a high school graduating class of only 40 kids. Not very many shared her interest in high school. When she tries to tell me all about the latest story line I try to understand but more than half goes over my head.

Great she's found others to share her interests

Yes it's a lot more popular than you would think !

There have been some pretty good pics on the web lately asking why it's ok to have rooms filled with sporting memorabilia, but if you're into anime or sci-fi you're some how less cool ?
