The decks now have been repainted (although wooden would have been nice, too)

But sadly, my engineer dropped the airbrush pistol after painting it. :(
I just ordered replacement parts for it as some parts of the pistol were broken. This deck repaint was now €40...  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That's €28000 in scale, probably cheap at the price.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Captain Canada

Looks better this way, way more sleek and modern.

I am still searching for the €28.000.......   ;D

In the meantime, work continued on the USS King (and no further damages to building equipment).

Boats, decals and some minor stuff is missing.

Very fine work; those details do make it all come together.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Despite the high temperature here, the USS King has been completed.

I wanted to build this one OOB to recreate the look of a model kit in the 1960s. Therefore, no crew members on board this time. And I have not found some in 1:500 scale anyway.

The kit is a 1:500 scale Renval model, painted with Revell Aqua color and added a bit Tamiya rust on it.

As I have a few other kits of US ships from the 50s/60s, they will follow next.

That's come out well. I like the look of these ships with such highly visable armament . Modern designs look quite boring in comparison

Another beauty. You've got quite the collection now eh ? The armaments and the ships boats look excellent.

Work in the shipyard has started on something "new" - the USS Boston.

A old Revell kit - part of the "Guided Missile Fleet". Typical for those old Revell kits is their very simple underwater part of the hull: Yes, there are some rudders put no props at all.

Hull has been painted so far and work started on the deck now:
