Hmmmmm.....
Very retro Battlestar?
Just need some sort of tubes in the side for launching the fighters!

Well, maybe no battlestar, but lets call it a "Battleairship" :)

Lower hull part with painted flight deck

Inside of upper hull, some work for the hangar

Just put everything together to see if it fits....

This should give the idea how everything should look like when its done

I'm still waiting to see where the B-52 bits go.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

But at least I now comprehend the basic idea
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

As I want ot add a few aircraft inside the hangar and it should be visible from the outside, I have to make the aircraft first.

So right now, work was done on some additional parts of the Manfred von Richthofen:

Anti-Aircraft guns, manual used ones to defend the craft from attacks form above and automatic ones to protect from below:

And I was asked where the B52 comes into the game: So here it is, some parts of the B52. And in the background a few Ju87 dive bombers:

I see Pit-Road's 1/700 Luftwaffe planes

Well, no, the planes are all from a Revell Graf Zeppelin carrier - the ones I did not needed for my Graf Zeppelin model.

The upper and lower half of the Manfred von Richthofen are now put together, with some planes inside its hangar:

Also - the engines are added, here the B52 kit donates some parts:

Ahah, now I understand.

Presumably for over-the-target boost?  ;)

The Manfred von Richthofen needs to defend itself, and the last line of defense are the AA-guns.

So here we have some 8,8 cm ones besides the flight deck:

And below the flight deck, some automatic ones are mounted:
