It's a really interesting mix of old (the hull and funnels) and new (the armament)

Most parts are in place now, missile launchers, radar, anti-aircraft guns. A few little things are missing and then the PE-party begins.....

The upper after deck has been modified with AA-guns and the huge radar devices.

That's really nice. I'm going to have to see which WW2 light cruisers i have in my stash.  :)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

As the ship section is pretty empty here, lets start something new.

This time -as a preparation for a bigger non WhatIf - this is the kit to be modified:

Its a 1/500 scale kit of the M/S Pitsudski by Mirage. It will definitely not go by its original colors, so where is what has been made so far:

Quite some headbanging was required, this kit is quite bad. Does not fit very well. Anyway, the first rounds of painting have been done, and I just stick all parts together to see who it will look like:

A detail pic of the bow (which has been mostly completed so far):

Hull will be painted next and work continues on the superstructure.
In parallel, I do some tests for the decals, quite unsure it it will work what I wanted to do here.

The hull is painted now and first deck parts at the bow and stern have been added:

Just to get a feel how it will look like, all prepared parts are put together:

Work will now continue on the superstructure, tests for the decals continue.

Things are coming together now, almost all of the superstructure has been added:

Now working on all the lifeboats. And still experimenting with the decals for the ship.

After quite a break - my engineer was out of town and so I could not continue to work - some little progress on the cruise ship:

The first try for the decals ended in a little disaster, so I have to make some new ones, but it they seem to be better now. Still need a bit of work until I can add them to the model
