Well, its more or less done now, and i could start to add the PE parts and do the antennas if not....

... yes, the ship is bend towards the deck. :banghead:

I assume that the hull was not plain from the beginning or the 3D printed first deck which was glued to it cause it. So I have to see how I can fix this.

Now starting with the PE parts to be added. Somehow I feel to old to work with those tiny parts.

And there is still the crew waiting....

This tiny PE parts let me only do them step by step as they are too small to handle for me. I guess I have to train my engineer to help me more with this one.

But luckily, most of it is done now.

There's an old English proverb "slowly, slowly, catchee monkey"  which sums this build up. It really is coming together well

A very bad day.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I hope my engineer will not be upset when he is back for work. This morning, I threw the model of the almost completed Roon on the floor. As expected, all masts and multiple small parts are broken, I don't know if this can be fixed. Most of the PE parts are gone.  Maybe it can be repaired, but it will not have the stability to add any antennas to the model :(

For the mast, drill a small hole in it and the model and insert a fine rigid wire.  I had to do that with my Long Beach, as the very small flat-to-flat surfaces would not hold no matter what glue.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

For the main mast I had the same idea as JoeP, drill a hole and I can use the mast ther as ist is not broken into pieces. For the other masts, thimgs get a bit more tricky. I think I will be able to fix everything, but i do not know if I can add some antennas at all.

I am looking forward when the engineer is back from his holiday off time later this week - maybe he has a good idea. He is the engineer! :)

Well, strange things are going on.....

Before I went to Singapore, I fixed the model together with my engineer. But now that I am back, the model looks like this:

What is going on here? Sabotage? It does not look like another engagement with HMS Floor, but where does the new damage come from? My engineer is a clueless and he has to fix it again

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I like the idea of HMS Floor.

Could it have fallen victim to a combined operation by USS Pussy Cat and HMAS Gravity?
