Like the Seeteuful II.  I read a story some time back where due to a clerical mixup USS Constitution was rearmed and sent on one patrol during WW2; I've considered building that, giving her a few MGs and some depth charge throwers with a 1940s paint job.  I wonder what a broadside of 32 pounders would do to a surfaced submarine?

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

The results would be very interesting for certain

I'm guessing it'd look like it had passed through a particularly nasty hail storm but still be operationally effective.

What would the result of a torpedo full of 280 kg Hexanite be to Constitution in response?

The British 32 pounder was reputed to be a very accurate gun for the period, at a range of about 2 miles.  At about 400 yards , assuming the vessel to be engaging a recently surfaced submarine,  a  USS Constitution  broadside of 10 32pounders AND 15 24 pounders  would certainly do sufficient damage to prevent the U boat submerging and probably rupture the pressure hull.

Visited the USS Constitution several years ago, and it did not made the appearance of a sub-hunter to me.... Would have been quite interesting.

Back to the Seeteufel, the deck and hull are now put together while I am in parallel working on the masts and the armament:

I have removed the flying bridge that was molded into the deck as it looked quite bad. It is now replaced by two real "bridges" which will lead to the gun mounts.

Did not had much time the last weeks to build and somehow, my engineer did not want to build without me.

But now, construction has proceeded a bit: Guns added, some of the gun covers added, boats added, masts added, torpedoes tubes added and a small funnel has been added as well.

Unfortunately, there were some issues with the sails, have to repair them first before adding them.

The sails were a bit a pain to add, as they are quite fragile and break quite often.

Anyway, construction continues and all the military equipment is now on board.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Are you going to rig it?

No full rigging - I would get mad doing so - but a bit at least.... without it looks so "naked".

It looks great. But some basic rigging will IMHO surely improve this impression further.

A bad week here where I could not build very much.
And i needed the help of my engineer to clean up all this flooding mess down in the cellar.
I am just glad that I have not stored all my unbuild models down that as i had planned, otherwise, this would have been quite bad for them.
But i should not complain, when i see what kind of tragedy happened just a few kilometers south.

Anyway, earlier this week, some time was there and my engineer check if all sails are in position.

Now I have to add the crew and the rigging.
