I just looked, its about 6,5 cm long. So the original KFK would be 22 meters long. This IS small.

I added some camo on the hull, the instructions gave this as one alternative color scheme. However as there were countless KFK, anything is possible to paint them

Working on the deck right now. There are depth charges and mine removal equipment on the stern of the ship.

This Kfk is quite small, see the Euro-Cent coin as a comparison. The boats house is now added

The two guns will be placed on the platforms

I dug out a Euro Cent to see, and yes it is a bit small  ;D

Things come together now, the model itself is now finished.

Adding the guns:

And adding the crew. Seems as if the guy in the left has been fallen asleep

Now the really tricky part will come where I have to experiment a bit. Hope it works.

And a note from my engineer: Today, Scratchbär has launched his new website with all the models she has build in the last years. Of course with many links to the Whatif-Modelers forum here: Scratch Bears Model Page

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Nice work, as usual.  And another atypical subject.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Starting a new kit for the end of the year: The IJN CA Aoba. This one will be build OOB but I want to use a camo on it, not only the usual Japanese-Gray-Ship.

So this is the Hasagawa model and the idea how to paint it:

This was a model I got form ebay several years ago. Seems as if the previous owner already worked on it, as the hull it already put together with the weight inside.

And starting with something easy, the main guns:
