Nice. I really like the look of this ship. The wee dudes really bring the flight scene to life !

But I can tell you, sometimes they are just making me mad. Can't say how many of those brave sailors got lost during ship construction......  :o

Some reinforcements have been added below the flight deck:

And now the island structure has been added to the flight deck. Some weapons are already in place, the rest will follow soon:

Did you paint the wee dudes or did they come already coloured?

They are already painted - in 1/700 it would be too small for me. Hard enough to add them to the model :)
I have a set KM, IJn and US Carrier Personal (which I used here), and you can get in them in different sizes (1/700 or 1/350) from Eduard. One set is about 10€ or so.

Well, I have not told you all the truth about it.....
The secret is, that they are hand made and painted by my very skilled engineer, see here is when he did this in his free time....

He seems to like his work :)

Now the ship got its name: Its the CVL-72 Francis Underwood, named after the famous US president.....

The flight deck is now beginning to be populated with aircraft:

Most of the PE railing has been added and now I have to come to the tough part - the crew is coming next
