OK, I'm declaring 110% bogglement here!

WhereEVER do those little dudes on the deck come from? They're RIDICULOUSLY small?

Oh yes, they are small. 1/700 scale PE parts. And there is a certain percentage that gets lost somehow. Fun fact-  I almost never loose a IJN sailor, but about 50% of my RN sailors get lost. Why?
Don't know. Good that I do not have a RN ship this time. :)

Probably in the local Bierkeller/Bar/Pub, if half the stories my dad told me are true  :drink:

Well, my engineer take a few days off now, so I will also pause with model building until she is back.

So Merry Christmas to everyone!

While the flight deck is slowly populated with aircraft and crew, some work still needs to be done with the AA guns.

First aircraft on the KM carrier

AA guns for the USN carrier:
First try for a larger section with multiple guns, but I do not like it so much. Has to be redone.

Some smaller mounts are ok:

Adding an additional platform at the hull of the KM carrier:

As I do not have any pre-made 1/700 scale aircraft propellers left anymore, I had to try to print some. So far, it looks as if it could work.

Progress so far:

KM: AA-guns completed, now starting to add aircraft and crew.

USN:First AA-guns added

Continue to work on aircraft, crew and AA guns for the KM and USN carrier.

More aircraft on the KM carrier

Completed the side platform of the KM carrier with some PE parts:

Making a new section for multiple AA guns of the USN carrier. Looks better to me now. Top = old, bottom = new

Progress so far:

KM: Continue to work on the flight deck

USN:All single AA mounts added

Concentrating the work now on the USN carrier.

Added the new AA mount besides the flight deck

My engineer checks if every is going on as it should. And if the planes are ready to be added.

Added an additional side platform

Progress so far:

USN:All AA mounts and guns added, now preparing for aircraft and crew.
