Scimitar was conceived as an airborne command and communications platform, to work with and if necessary replace satellites during an alien attack. The aircraft is designed to fly very high and fast for great lengths of time, and be able to relay information from moon base or S.I.D. The aircraft is fitted with a large array built into the rear of the fuselage, this array is positioned such to relay information from space and then down to other S.H.A.D.O units either airborne on the ground or in the sea. The entire aircraft is covered in the anti weapons flash paint now used on all vehicles and aircraft.
The aircraft has the ability to in flight refuel, in case of emergency, but this is seldom needed due to the high fuel capacity and extremely efficient engines.
Here is some pictures I did of the thing tonight whilst some of the paint was drying off. I will try and get some more done outside tomorrow weather permitting that is

Hell's Bells, that looks good!

How big is it and whatever did you make it from please?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Hya Kit,
It is made from most of a Nu-Bee TU-20 bear, scale not sure, but I have rebuilt it in 1/72nd scale. Bits have been cut out here and there and some scratch building also, the engine fronts are 1/144th scale  rolls royce items made by Bratz, and the pods are plumbing tube.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nice job - that looks great!

The Plasticart/Nu-bee/Playfix/whatever Tu-20 is either 1/100th or 1/96th scale depending on the source. i've just picked oune up with thoughts of scaleorama too.....

Thankyou for all the encouraging comments guys, I really appreciate it as my modelling has taken a bit of a back seat of late, and my enthusiasm has waned too. This build very nearly got put in the cupboard of no return.

Anything U.F.O. is cool.  I grew up watching that and Star Trek.  SCIMITAR looks very Gerry Anderson-y!!!!!

Cheers for the comments guys, much appreciated.
That is the first time I have seen that picture/plan Jay, looks very interesting for sure. When I eventually get some room enough to make stuff bigger than 1/72nd scale armour I will have a go at building something like that for sure. Plastic pluming pipe will certainly be a main part of that build.
