Joshua, that's coming along REALLY well!

I can't imagine why it's not been done before.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Wow!!
That's so spooky, on the Revell kit there is a center vertical fin. I'll add that with some helicopter parts from my stash, and now I know what the Airfix kit looks like.
A great build

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Excellent!  I can really see it starting to take shape now.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well guys sorry it has taken me so long to put something on here it is because we have been moving this month. But the internet has finlly been hooked up and and work will continue on the rotodyne skycrane.

Thanks

No probs, I haven't even started mine yet, the dreaded 'funk' has settled in.  Hopefully seeing this one done will spur me on a bit.

Well no pics of the rotodyne skycrane I am going to save them for the big reveal but since I am waiting on the decals to arrive I decided to make two attachments for it, one is a firefighting tank and one is a Forest ranger pod for a crew to work in the forest. I do not have pictures of the tank but I have some of the pod with the basecoat on and did the interior.

Hopefully the decals get here soon but for now the attachments is what I will work on along with some little detail.

Thanks for looking

A tip from one who's built a Skycrane already.

Don't rely on the plastic hooks that Revell mould to keep the pod attached to the aircraft! They break off in no time at all, so either glue the thing in position permanently or make four new hooks from wire and use them instead.

Have  you  considered magnets??   Years ago, I saw a Grand Slam  Lancaster   with detachable  ordnance.  It  was  all done with concealed magnets.

That way,  the skycrane  Rotodyne  could carry  a variety of pods and thus keep us all  entertained  as you display your expertise  in a real  Thunderbirds  style  selection of  machinery.

I actually saw a model this summer which had magnets concealed very cleverly like that, Bill could then swap over ordnance whenever and take them off for transporting the kit around in it's box.  The magnet was concealed in the fuselage, with bits of metal inserted in the ordnance.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
