I'd like to ask, what era would this be in, and why not the P-90 over the MP-5? I get that it is your build, but I would have figured the P-90 would have been the weapon of choice. Just my $0.02. Keep up the awesome work!

Era is pretty much "now", give or take 5 years.

Why the MP5? Mostly because I had a set of MP5's in the stash (still have some left). I was tossing up using some resin Austeyr's I have in the stash but they're a bit finicky to construct & I didn't have 3 of a kind, which I did of the MP5's. I was tossing up the idea of M4's (of which I have quite a few) but I really want them for other builds, as I do my UMP's. So, MP5's it was! ;D

(How's that for a verbose reply? ;) )

:cheers:

Guy

I suspected that might be the real reason why you'd chosen the MP5.  Sometimes its a case of what is available in the spares box as against what you really need.  ;D

Slow building but I have a tiny update!

Rail around the hatchway!

But it's time to button up the tractor unit, so final pic of the interior.

Interior now has ammo pouches for the MP5's in the boxed area on the other side of the hatchway to the MP5's
and a selection of modelling magazines strewn around (obviously a messy crew). Magazines are scans of actual mag's in my collection
ranging in age from 2008 to a month or two ago. There are 2 TMMI mag's, which I have for a couple of great post-apocalyptic vehicle
builds, a recent FSM (30 years issue, I think) and an old ModelArt Australia, with Buzzbomb's scratch-built "mule" from the movie "Serenity".
Other mag's are just the back pages of those 4.

Just after those pic's were taken (about 10 minutes ago) I sprayed the interior with dullcoat. When that's dry I'll put the joint-ball in & seal the beast.

:cheers:

Guy

PS: Forgot to mention the .50 cal ammo boxes next to the commanders seat!

It looks like the rear area is for model building.

::snort:: I did it when I was deployed to Iraq in 05...granted, not on the move, but still

Magnificent interior... :thumbsup:

The only thing better would be to have a picture of the completed model in one of the magazines!  :o

Found a few missing detail shots on another camera...

Commander's space (upper);

Commander's remote weapon console;

Third seat remote weapon console;

Fire extinguisher (scratch built incl. decals);

... while I was moving these on to my computer.

The forklift, so far;
Right side;

Left side;

Top;

Rear;

In the Guard Van;

Not much movement on this (the grip-surface isn't glued down , yet);

But it does have the connection for linking to the tractor (or a cargo trailer, if I make one);

:cheers:

Guy.

PS: thanks, guys! :bow:

Coming along nicely there.  I see you've gone for a "Bobcat" style set of Forks.   :thumbsup:

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nah, you watch, something'll go wrong. ;)

Still building, between casual shifts at work (full-time contract ended, now under-employed), looking for other work & trying to get sh.... stuff together for security clearances for various applications. Which doesn't leave much time for the internet, so I've been a little AWOL lately.

BUT I'm building & that is important! (To me, don't ask the missus! :-\)

Hello, everyone! Thomas the Tanker is here to show us the latest updates. :tank:

Work has, recently, returned its focus to the tractor unit.

This is the front; notice the lack of headlight units, rear vision mirrors & headlight guards but lots of rivets.

This is the right side; pretty boring except for the re-positioned tool mount & the rivets.

The top; I like the gun... & the rivets.

The left side; neat ladder but why he put curtain across entry?... & rivets.

And this is the back; & no tail-lights but more bloody rivets! Who needs Steampunk, when you've got the Stryker?

And, just for schitzengiggles, left side & top.

Comments welcome, as usual.

:cheers:

Guy.
