Having got a couple of 1/72 747's and a C-5 in the stash (among some others), I don't see it as being that big (a deal)   ;D ;D
I've already started on my 3'-6" deep x 9'-0" wide x 7'-0" high cabinet and by the time I've built the above mentioned and added the eight 1/72 B-52's, four B-36's to the display I may have to build another.

Cabinet or House ?

He! He! He!

I've actually got another display cabinet in storage, it used to be one in a museum, the type that you'd see someone's uniform in or something like that.  It's made of acrylic clear sides and front but it's a bit scratched up so needs some work on it.  It measures 2'-0 deep x 4'-0" wide and about 6'-0 high and I will display my 'odd' scale models in it, 1/48's, 1/144's and 1/200's that I have a few of in each scale. The big cabinet will be all 1/72 scale.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

I'm in the process of moving into a new(er) much bigger house. One bedroom will be the model airplane room. I found some shelves at a local home improvement store that are 4' wide, 2' deep and 6' tall with 5 shelves per unit. They're just open utilty shelves and much heavier than I need, but I like their looks as well as the size. They're about $80 each but I can't build something like that for that price.

Looks like I'll have to Whiff my 1/72 B-52G into something a lot smaller, hmmm swing-wing version? :banghead:
