Opendoor Koksijde AFB 2012

last wednesday i visited the opendoor of Koksijde Air base.
the program included demonstrations of Belgian AF Seaking Helicopters, Belgian Navy Alouette III and Federal Police MD900 (fastrope and firefighting demo) ammong others.

What was the wreckage of the F-16 doing?

That's what happens when you park your plane in a bad neighbourhood & duck into the shop for a packet of chips (crisps) & a Coke (or similar)!

Dunno, but it's the best looking F16 I've seen in a very long time.....

the F-16 is one of a number that have been gutted and stripped for spares, i guess some of the empty carcases are used for fire fighting exercises

That one looks like someone's made a poor attempt at hiding it by putting bits of twigs around it as some form of camouflage.

You could just about  fly it off  the new carriers WITHOUT  a catapult.  Perhaps this is all part of a "cunning plan" to build a strike force on the cheap
