Hi chaps, been a bit quiet on the whif front, sorry! Promise I'll do something for SMW. Quite a few resin sets coming out this month, including more Skyhawk stuff (150 and 300 Gal 'bobtail' drop tanks), Mirage III/V 1700LT tanks, CBLS 100's, IAI Dagger weapons set and RAF/RAAF Mustang Mk.IV set (pictured);

Above should all be out at Sutton Coldfield, with hopefully the Spitfire Mk.24 improvements, Spitfire Mk.24 and Seafire Mk.46 conversions ready for Farnborough or Brampton. More new items should be ready by end of September to.

Thanks.

Colin

Hi Kit, yes for Airfix, set also includes two paper drop tanks (these will be available seperately later on as they are applicable to Eighth Air Force to), here's is picture;

Gondor

The IAI Dagger set sounds interesting Colin, any more details available on that please?

Another small resin item is a new five blade Spitfire Mk.XIV/XVIII propeller and engine cover designed for the AZ Model kit, although it could be modified to fit the Airfix PR.XIX to. it is my intention to also include these items as a bonus in the remaining stock of AZ/Freightdog boxings of the Mk.XIV/XVIII kits, of which there is around fifty left.

Apparently the Airfix thread has become the Fujimi thread, so if the engine cover can be modified to fit the Airfix PR.XIX, would it also work on the Fujimi Spitfires without much modification?

PM received, will do! Paul is working on a Seafire 46 conversion with contraprop for the Airfix Mk.22, although I think its not exactly the same as carried on Mk.21's or 22's (being same as FR.47). I have not seen one yet, but can do you some contra-props on their own when ready, probably next month (I'll hopefully have them at Coventry in June).
Colin

Any news on this conversion, Colin (i.e. will it be available at Telford)?

No not the twin, something faster (don't get too excited though, not a complete kit).

Speed Spitfire conversion????

What chance a Sunderland MR5 conversion in the future?

And finally............

Have I read somewhere that a Spitfire 24 conversion is on the cards?

I could have sworn I saw a mention of that update before I posted my comment about the cowling on the Airfix-Fujimi PR XIX thread, but I can't find the conversion on the Freightdog web site.  :banghead:

So many questions! OK some answers;

Probably can be tweaked to fit the Fujimi kit, certainly the prop that comes with it will help.

Spit 22 and 24 sets are due now in two weeks, Seafire 46 will happen soon after. I've seen samples of all the parts except the props, which still need tweaking.

No Sunderland bits planned from me!

Thanks Colin, looking forward to hearing more about the Spitfire and Seafire sets.  As for the Sunderland MR5, as Mrs Doyle would say, gowaan, gowaan, gowaan......
