I have been after one of these for so long now, and the local model shop has stalled me for a couple of months getting me one. Anyhow, I now have one and after a bit of disappointment, as to how small it actually is and how the kit goes together, my plans for it have run aground.
My initial thoughts for it were to be a SHADO trans-atmospheric craft, seen as it is sort of lifting body shaped, and would make a good shuttle craft.
Another, was to put retractable floats on the fuselage and wings, and make it into a UFO chasing sea plane, or a submersible aircraft, that does much the same.
Another idea, which I have recently had, is, to make it virtually as is, except for engines and gun turrets, and make it into a Cartel "stealth" bomber. This would have been a design brought over with the nazi's that fled germany after WW2, bringing top secret designs with them. The aircraft will be powered by a pair of Turmanski engines sourced from the Cartels russian aircraft, along with avionics, and weapons etc.
All ideas welcome as the inspiration has took it self into hibernation at the moment.
Cheers,
Chris.

I was giving my LMS the order as they have pretty good with stuff I have needed in the past, and I pass it on my way over to my Mums house, so thought, why not ask. I had sen it online before when it come out again but thought I would give them a shout. I will ask you in future though Jay as I would rather put any kind of business a friends way first.

That could be an awkward one Jay, as I only build in 1/72nd scale  :o
Plus it wouldn't be very "secret" really

I see what you're saying - but if nuclear powered, flies really high, and never lands, would that be secret enough?

Also gives me an idea - how about a build / GB where each member builds a different part of the finished model?  That way, we could each build something we are comfortable working with, sort of sub-contracting, but on a small (!) scale...

How about as a Flying Sub to support the Skydiver defence chain ?

Maybe a Scale - O - Rama fighter?

Or, maybe an airliner??

TallEng

Well.....
It could be one as tested by the RAF/USAF with a FE- number after the war,
Or a license built one from Italy, Japan, etc,
Or how about the one that was used to fly the Fuhrer to Argentina?
Or that One Used on that Mission by KG200 (you know the One i Mean)
Or.....

The List kind of Go's on and on....

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Flying sub could be a favourite so far as it does have the right shape

I like the idea of a Soviet version either for post-war or Cold war gone hot use in the early 1950s.  Think it would look rather smart in a natural metal finish with some red stars on it.

When you're stuck on an idea try taking a breath and then thinking simple.  Think of the simplest thing you could do to it and then the next simplest and so on and so forth.  After a while things will begin falling into place.  I find that usually helps me when I've hit a wall or my idea has gotten out of hand.

I think it has the potential to make a very good stealth bomber, new engines & cabin area modernized a bit.

Just about anything, as long as those horrible, draggy engines are removed or blended into the contours of the plane.

Or, my personal favorite, as a British V-bomber with internal wing-engines.
