Hi everyone, thanks again for your kind comments, now to answer PERTTIME question;to make the hollow areas on the cockpit and landing gear,i cut a rectangle with a razorblade, the rectangle should be at least 5mm in depth, the length and width depends on the scale you are building your aircraft, after cutting the sides of the rectangle just "dig" the inside with a x-knife or small screwdriver, so that it becomes hollow, then smooth the bottom of the area by using a piece of plastic, i usually glue a piece of selfadhesive plastic to disguise the irregularities, the process is the same for the areas of the landing gears.
Rick lowe you make a good point, when you say using a couple of coats of primer to smooth the polystyrene, and that's what i do before painting, but a few years ago i learn the hard way, that synthetic paints meltdown the polystyrene, so now i always use acrylic paints, because they are easier to mix with water or alcohol, giving more time to paint a model.

                            best regards
