NARSES2

Getting nearer and I've been thinking about what I want. Strangely not much at all  To be honest unless the MPM stable have something new out (their P-35 for instance) I'll only be looking for some of the more esoteric stuff - not the brand - so it will be a visit to see Adrian Hampton to see what he can temp me with (he's far to good at that for my wallets liking ) and Colin for some bits and bobs. Now having said that I'll probably have to by a new case to get all the stuff home on the train
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Me too.  Need some new paintbrushes, a couple of tins of Xtracolor and some Freightdog stuff (Mustang IVa set + possibly others depending upon Colin's SMW release plans).  Might buy a book.
Resisting the temptation to buy a Heritage Supermarine 224 and/or (more likely 'or') a Hawker P1052/1081.  A Novo Attacker (inspired by The Wooksta) may be on the cards, subject to price.
Will ask Santa for an Airfix 1/72 P-51D/Mustang IV though.

Other than cheap stuff, of the type I *always* buy (especialy during my strip mining of the Collectakit stand on the Friday) there's nowt specific I'm after.  Although then again, if that dude who's now bringing in the High Planes kits has the Seafire III and Jay's Seafire 47, I'll be laughing.

No, I'm wrong.  The new AZ Spitfire IX and XVIe are high on the wants list but those (deleted on legal advice) from Lowestoft won't be getting a penny of my wadge.

Howard of Effingham

my renewal of IPMS membership arrived this morning in the post.....

SMW here we come.

like some others, i have few wants this year. some new paintbrushes would be nice but i will be looking out for the special hobby DH sea hornet NF kit as i have their other hornet kits in the stash, but not this one.

Yeap i must admit I'm in the same boat as Narses, i noticed Hannant's reordering for SMW has gone live, but not sure if their is anything i specifically want form the existing range and not entirely sure if their is anything really tasty due out for release before or at the show as we have had in years gone by.

I am tempted by the Trumpeter Type 23 frigate and Airfix Type 45 Destroyer as the later may be out for the show, but i think I'll defer both till Xmas or 2013 as they will be readily available.

I think i shall be looking at Freightdog to see what goodies Colin has produced, S&M models to see what new models are out and probably Model-craft (that's the bod your after Lee for the High Planes & Jays stuff).

The other factor is Inspiration, I'm hoping to get Chris Gibsons new 'Battle Flight' book of UK Air Defence projects either before or at the show and that should hopefully provide inspiration which would then lead to what base kites i may require and the suitable decals etc.

I did get some Seafires from him last year but he didn't have the Seafire III.  I was sure I had a second but it's gone AWOL.

I heard a whisper that Comet had gone under, so it's unlikely we'll see the jumble sale again.

I think that someone who knows what they are doing should do a Telford video blog to go onto the site.  ;)

I can see a slight flaw in this proposal  ;D

So can I ;D
