So there I was, rifling through my stash looking for something to get my creative juices going, and I found it... an Academy F-86, great, love a Sabre. When I opened it up, what did I find amongst the spures ??, yep, this little thing. Part started, part painted, completely forgotten.

So in a frenzy of modelling production I threw it together, assaulted it with filler and several grades of wet'n dry and 55mins later it looked like this.

Still not certain how it's going to end-up, maybe Kiwi, maybe not... you'll just have to keep tuning in - I am open to suggestions, but those of you who know me best, won't be in the least bit surprised at that !!

More soon.

You'll need to fit the Aeroclub Unobtanium nosewheel and propeller Ian. The Bulldog is the ULTIMATE tail-sitter and there's almost no room for ballast.

Best of luck.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

You know me, Mr. S, never shied away from a challenge... well except for that Heller 1:48 Alpha Jet, and that really was 'un-buildable'

Old Paul

Extended nose, extra weight, Allison 250, as a COIN version?

Mossie

RAF COIN, DG/DSG wraparound with a pair of Matra launchers under the wings???

Those 'extra' decals I sent you might be an option, the later trainer markings the used on the SIAI Marchetti SF.260 standout and the COIN configuration consisted of dayglo over camouflage.

Irish Air Corps keeps cropping up in these conversations....

Kiwi would look good as well.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hmmmm, good idea, easy to do.... Keep 'em coming.

COIN also came to my mind - but how about a para-military anti drug raider from South-America? Peruvian, or Venezuelan? Mi-24s are used in that role, AFAIK, and they'd need an agile FAC guidance...

Mossie

That was similar to my thoughts with the RAF.  RAF in Belize, ostensibly there for anti-drugs ops, but really there for keeping Guatemala out.

Also nice! That spawns the idea of a similar aircraft for Hong Kong - which could, on a Sark Sea Grey/Dark Slate Grey pattern carry some bold light blue quick ID marks which some RAF Wessex helicopters wore there... just for the weird look. ;)

Heller AlphaJet:  Mine became a target for my BB gun . . . Sort of a mercy killing . . .

Looking forward to the preliminary results

Army of One

What did ya decide.....?? I think a 7rd rocket pod under each wing....and a gun pod....gotta have some gun pods....maybe a 7.62 pod with maybe 250-350 rpg....I think a minigun be to heavy n not enough ammo could be carried....just my thoughts......H
BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

IF YER HIT, YER DEAD!!!!

Well there's a coincidence !! - Just sprayed it this afternoon. Not going to have any sort of weaponry at all (no I haven't become a Quaker... yet ), just got something far more civilised and unusual in-mind. Stay tuned, you'll like where this is going...

...and Kit, it isn't a tail-sitter, just  ;)

OK, been a while, but I keep building 1:24 cars instead...  - Not much to show, just some paint, white paint:

I can say now it is definitley NOT going to be in Kiwi colours. Truth is, I found a couple of my 'Air Forces of the World' decal sheets and the idea just hit me... Going to keep you all guessing for now, but trust me, the finished result is not going to be anything like I've built before or probably will build again... maybe !!

More soon.
