Stop teasing us, then - what else apart from Tornado GR4 stuff can we expect at Telford, what is the GR4 stuff, and when can we pre-order Colin??????

you know kitbasher, i did try to ask colin at the brampton show about what he was planning for SMW, but he was tactfully enigmatic.

i get the impression he might be planning something, but who knows!? NOT ME!  ;D ;D ;D

I suspect Colin is seeing what will be produced in time for SMW before making any announcements as their are plenty of mainstream sets in the works for release or for display at SMW. I know he would like to release a new Whif orientated project but we'll have to wait patiently until Colin can confirm what it is and we may well have to wait until the day to confirm what that is.

So the best advice is to make sure you have plenty of funds available and wait to see what goodies appear on the day  ;D

I'm just wanting the promised Spitfire/Seafire contraprop.  I have a requirement for a good few.

Funds shoud not be a problem...

Hi chaps, apologies for not replying sooner, have not checked the forum for a while...

OK, for SMW I have quite a lot of new sets, but sadly not much exclusively of whif nature, however I am trying to resolve that by early 2013 (sounds a long way a way but it isnt!) with a completely new, never promised or announced full resin whif kit. So what I'm expecting to have at the show will be (all 1/72 unless noted otherwise);

- Tornado GR4/4A conversion (contains parts to make of each, ie two FLIR and one Linescan fairing). These are ex-MA range, for Revell GR1 kit

- MBDA Brimstone Missile set (one carrier and three missiles per set), available in 1/72 and 1/48. Ex-MA but amended master

- Jaguar GR1/1A/3/3A weapon set (2x two 264 Imp Gal drop tanks, overwing sidewinder rails, Phimat pod, AN/ALQ-101 jammer pod. AN/ALE-40 chafff/flare
despensers,  blade aerial). These are newly mastered, except the drop tanks and ALQ-101 which are ex-MA range, for Hasegawa kit

- CLBS-100 carrier with truncated tail (applicable to RAF Jaguars, sold as a pair), for Hasegawa kit

- Spitfire Mk.22 improvement set (contains 11ft prop, long gun barrels, main wheels), for Airfix kit

- Spitfire Mk.24 conversion set (contains 11ft 10 inch prop, short gun barrels, main wheels, hatch scribing template, Seafire style u/c doors). Note
some Mk.24's where fitted with cranked u/c doors as carried by 40 series Seafires, these were also fitted to some refurbished export airframes.

- Kayaba Ku-4 Ram-jet intake (contains replacement ramjet face to replace turbine blades in Meng kit). Two per set.

The above have all been mastered by Paul Lucas, in addition I hope to have my Grumman Avenger ECM.6 conversion, Brits at Sea Pt.II decals and Pegasus varnished light and dark wood decals ready, if they arrive from the printers in time.

Sets that have not made it, but will be ready soon after are the Seafire F/FR.46  (sorry Lee!) and Tempest Mk.VI conversions. So you heard it here first, see you in a couple of weeks!

Ah I'll get the Tempest VI sets when available then Colin
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Gondor

Sounds as if I will be spending some money on-line at your site in the future Colin.

I must protest - do you know the damage you're going to do to my bank account, Colin?

OK, it's my fault for having so many Revell Tornados that need to be turned into GR4s (otherwise I run the risk of having more GR1s than the RAF took into service...), but really.... ;)

kitbasher

Spit 24 set for me please Colin. Tempted by the Avenger kit too - not that I've got an Avenger in the stash!
