Interesting idea. I bought that boxed set as well - must have been after I left the pub, no idea what I'll do with them  :banghead:

Thanks guys :)

Working on the beachingtrolleys. Basepaint is on, now for some detailing and weathering:

Far from done, I positioned some miscellaneous stuff on the trolley just for the pic. The rope is made of solder, the chest is from a Preisser "german pilots at rest" set and the blue toolbox is modelled after my own ;)

^Ah, yes, finally!

The original name for the original plane is Kyofu. Translated, the meaning of that is "strong wind", as since 1943 seaplane fighters were given "wind" names.
Now, my contraption is very unbalanced, and therefore nervous, what with a standard three bladed prop on one side, and souped up engine with two counter-rotating two bladed props on the other. So one fart (there's the Breaking Wind-bit) by the pilot and he'd have to adjust his whole flying position.
In other words: it would fly like a pig. Or a Portia. (Girls name. From the Latin Porcia, a feminine form of Porcius, an old Roman family name probably derived from porcus: a pig, a hog. Source: any what-to-name-your-baby site.)

Given that  the U.S. used the code name "Operation Frequent Wind" for the evacuation by helicopter of American civilians  and at-risk Vietnamese from Saigon,   what's wrong with "Breaking Wind"?

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet
