Does anybody know of any manufacturers of sheets of checkerboard decal/transfers?  In different colours/sizes?

Try Hannants they do a range of checkered decals/transfers.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Which size? I have found very small checker decals at Scotia Grendel, what once was Fantasy Forge:

They are actually intended for 1:350-600 tabletop vehicles, so the patterns are is pretty small and the single pieces are maybe 1.5x1" in size. Going to use some on a current RAN Corsair project.  ;D

All are useful.  I'd prefer some in green but they don't seem to be available.  Thanks to all for your efforts at enlightening this poor Aussie.  ;D

They're pretty easy to home-print. I did some blue and white ones for the fin on my F-6H Mustang earlier in the year. I could re-print and re-scale them in green if you'd like?

I might follow you up on your offer at some time in the future, Kit.  I don't need them immediately, just planning ahead for a build I have in the back of my mind.

No problem, I checked and I still have the master files handy. I'll just need to know the colour, matched to a Humbrol tin or an FS595 spec. and the size of the squares.

Alternatively paint the background green.  Most of those decals have a colour with clear, just pick the opposing colour you need.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
