I want to do some tinkering again.

Is that legal?

I believe that he can  tinker  in  public as long  as no  animal or vulnerable young  person is  involved.  Styrene tinkering  in  private  was  decriminalised   in the middle of  the  last  century.

I'm very much planning to be there on Sunday but I can't 100% confirm it yet.  I'll PM Geoff and Martin about potential exhibits.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Given that IPMS Tyneside have been placed opposite a sodding wall, I know for a fact I'll be on the SIG Stand for the bulk of the weekend.  Will there be some space so I can do some modelling?

You normally find some space for a little tinkering Lee

Wouldn't a box last longer and be easier to pour?

There is a chance I may make a day visit, but I can't even say what day yet (depends how mum's health's looking that morning), so I'm certainly not promising exhibits.

Actually we may want to gauge if there is suitable space or not as there maybe a few more behind the stand this year and some members will need ready access to sit down and rest so bare that in mind before setting up camp. Keep an eye on the clutter behind the stand with bags, coats, food & DRINK together with a constantly growing stash pile.

From the look of the plan in the IPMS Mag our stand is on one end of a cul-de-sac so all the OTHER people in adjacent stands will be coming past us! As far as I can see there is only one other group of stands like that in the whole show, so perhaps we could negotiate to have the block at the other end removed, then there's be two ways in and out.

I'm looking at the plan in the centre pages of the latest Mag Chris. It has our stand right at top end of a U shaped set of tables with the left hand side up against the wall. At the bottom end there's a table or similar blocking off the exit opposite to us.

If I could get to my scanner I'd post a piccie but it's buried behind a HUGE pile of books.  :banghead:

What if are in block 1F table 1305/1306 with Project Cancelled 1307/1308, there are gaps at either end behind the traders

the gaps are there, and are there for a reason. Simply put to allow access for those manning displays. Not places to congregate to chew over your latest purchase ect.

It is in every ones best interests to keep them clear at all times. And I expect the one between our stand and the trader next door to kept 100% clear. If the trader who I believe is Deluxe materials, causes a blockage, we will get them delt with via the correct channels.

I also want to avoid the usual build up of bags behind the stand, as this cuts down available space for those attending......if you are on a major buying spree, make sure what you buy is either well under the tables or in the boot of your car.
Also, any food or drink is to be kept off the table and out of sight. Last year our stand looked like a tip with abandoned plastic wine glasses and food wrappers left in plain view of the public....not the best advert for us is it? Bin bags are normally provided....use them.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.
