Next, as far as I am concerned is the Star of the SIG display. Created by Brad/Scooterman, and brought all the way from Dallas, Texas, is the Airbus A400 Atlas, built under licence by the ATLAS Air Craft Corporation of South Africa.
So it is an ATLAS Atlas!

Er, thanks...!  :-\  I actually bought it at Huddersfield when OGL pointed out a cheap one.  Took it out to Scooterworks for a combat modeling (with one L) session.  Workshare was roughly that I did the wings and engine installation using spare CFMs from a Scooter Sentry.  Brad did the fuselage, I did the u/c and grey from a rattle can, he sprayed the upper camo.

Another successful joint SAAF WIf which will now do the UK circuit to confound all who still think it's a C-17 - you should have seen the confused looks at the Dallas Scalefest.  ;D  Next due at Huddersfield, from where it was bought...
The future's so bright, I gotta wear NVGs...

JayBee

WOW! Brad never admitted to that.
Well done that man, I do so mouch love that model.

Was that a Shorter Stirling on the SIG stand ?

The rest of the stuff was looking great as well...

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Yes, that's Mike McEvoy's Shorter Stirling, see his Grumpy Old Modeller website for build info.

The Long Stirling has been delayed but it's en route...........  ;) ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

QuoteWhat is the aircraft, with the white undersides?

Bristol BA.6 'target marker', built by Lenny100

Ah, OK, I know what that is, it was the odd camouflage that threw me.

Fairey Delta 3, by Thorvic

I've wanted to build one of those for a long time but been stumped about how to got about it.  I wonder if Geoff would be willing to tell me how?

here's the build thread for the Fairey Delta 3:

Or you could ask TSRJoe, IIRC he has masters to make a resin one.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

So will it be called the Long Wait or the Long Stand?

I am guessing that it will have longer wings if your building it Kit

(must get back to working on the Lancaster XL)

Other models.

Firstly who fancies a 1/32 scale Super Connie/WV-2/EC121K or a B-29?
These were seen on the 1/32 scale SIG display.

The next two were on the traders stand next to our display and show scenic building materials for dioramas etc. These show snow and water and were excellent models in their own right.

and the rest.
