I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

That B 70 was on a flexible stand and when the doors were open on the Friday night I thought it was going to take off at one point. Talk about "wibbly-wobbly"  :o

Love that Vanwall racing car - thanks again Jim
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hi Phil/Brad

BTW Did the pair of you find any useful ideas from the book i red flagged for you  ;)

G

Yes - but alas the ideas are mainly Real World.  A quick flick thru reveals Nuke 'shapes' and glide bombs etc for a SAAF Bucc.    I now feel a classified weapons spread in front of a very grey jet with subtle indigenous updates coming on.    Though the cruise missiles for the real world anonymous SAAF B707 I already have might be on the cards, so that's partial WIf.

Looks like the book may only be good for the pics tho' - talk about 'wordy'...argh...     One of the pics was a SAAF Victor.  Huh.  Not ours though - we've already been there and done that on a previous joint build - in fact that influenced the paint job of the SF Atlas Atlas with the grey 'wrapuparound' on the slats.
The future's so bright, I gotta wear NVGs...

This for me was the winner of Category 33 (pic 'borrowed' from Aircav):

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

there were actually two israeli AF angel interceptors at SMW2012. i did the one in the F-16 camo and a chap called neil from IPMS warrington did the other. BOTH were photographed on the IPMS israel stand in the overseas section late on sunday. his IDF/AF interceptor was in a mirage/skyhawk 1970's scheme.

i have some shots of the pair coming to me eventually from the chap who photographed both together.

Did they both have that MONSTER Star of David on the underside Trevor? If not I saw yours being 'demonstrated' to one of the Joe Publics by one of the guys on the Isreali Branch stand.  ;D

no! neil's one was more a 1970's skyhawk/mirage III combo c/w A-4 avionics hump and mirage III tactical markings.

priceless kit! now do you see why i modified mine to have an extended tailpipe  ;D

incidentially, i hope the bestest ATCO in the RAF and her hubbie are ok. it was delightful to meet them both, finally.

btw i also strip-mined an old scalecast KC-135E set with separate engine halves which WILL come in handy for that 'vickers 990' project of mine, i told you about at yate.  ;)
