hi everyone

As this is my first post here on this forum,  I figured it should be something pretty cool, so I present the New Zealand Euro Scheme'd F-22 Rupture
I have a pension for splinter schemes and this is one aircraft that wears one well. I've also always loved the old Euro scheme on the Kiwi A-4's, so I thought I would blend the 2 into this:

the kit itself is completely OOB as it was just a fun build

Some of you maybe wondering what would do the mid-air refuel. Well, maybe this:

Ahh, it's all good fun aye! Thanks for dropping in

Rupture?! As in 'what purchasing this did to the NZ defence budget'?  ;D

Nice entrance, welcome to the madhouse!

Love them both, but the KC-10 is my fave. Which model is that?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I see the Kiwi's put all that money they saved retiring the Skyhawks to good use ! Love the colours and patterns on that Rupture. Sure changes the look. Also love the fuels tanks....really gives that aero some character. Needs X sidewinders tho

At first I didn't like the look of the -10. Too flashy or something. Then I saw the final pic of her in her element and thought "wow!" now that's the ticket !

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing !

Truly awesome work there  - welcome aboard!

Had to chuckle at the 'mis-spelling' of Raptor - perfect!!

thanks guys - glad you all like it! I've been hanging around in the back ground here for a while waiting until I had something decent to show before making a post.

Yeah, I had heard it being called a Rupture before and I wasn't sure if it was a case of "funny coz it's true" sort of thing. However, the name has stuck with me ever since....

The KC-10 is the Revell 1/144 boxing that I bought on eBay many years ago. It was originally painted B.O.G, sitting on top of the fridge collecting dust and grease ('coz it was next to the stove) and headed for the rubbish bin before I caught myself and decided to strip it back and have some fun with it.
The rupture was bought solely for the purpose of doing this scheme - and only then because I saw it going for a steal at my LHS. Personally, I don't think any other aircraft could wear it as nice as this one

Not sure what my next build will be - but I do have a modified BSG Viper to finish painting....

I like both of these, especially the F-22, it looks really good in that scheme
