Merlin powered DH.88

So what to do with my engineless DH.88?  It gave up it's Gypsy Six engines for the assisted powered Horsa, so it needs new power.

Brief backstory: 1940 the Air Ministry issued an urgent order for a smaller two place recon aircraft with good high speed/high altitude performance. The second seat could be used to give commanders a Birdseye view of the battlefield, or for high speed liaison transport.

de Havilland recognized that they could enter production quickly by using the proven DH.88 Comet design, but more power was needed.  The Air Ministry was impressed and a contract was issued.   

Crazy?  Perhaps- but I have an idea in mind....

Aww shucks- never saw that one!  Figured it had been done, but did not turn up in my searches.
