started this build using a welsh models shorts Belfast as the donor kit and was going to extend the body when i did a little research into the Belfast.
In 2013 the RAF will receive a aircraft they were operating in 1964, as apart from more powerfull engines and a few 21 century bits the airframe is almost only a update of the Belfast.
the size of the aircraft load bay is almost the same at 40 meters for the Belfast and 41 for the a400.
Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

That sounds good, and full of promise too.

It'll be a sort of RAF C-133 Cargomaster when it's done, something Shorts and the RAF should really have thought of back then.

A pity the Belfast isn't available in 1/72, that would be one MONSTER model!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well I'll be damned, I never knew they'd done that monster. Knowing Magna the fuselage is one solid piece of resin and I'd have to install an RSJ underneath my model shelves to support it, never mind getting a World Bank loan to buy it! Luckly it's currently zero stock at Big H.....  ;D

There you got, i got one when they came out at SMW some years ago but ended up selling it onto TSRJOE as just not a viable build at that time  :-\

Add the photo links.

Now i bet Di is glad Lenny is doing this in 1/144 scale rather than 1/72 !!!!!!

Oh rats, Photobucket wouldn't let me see the result I'm afraid, just a grey page.

You're not the only one having Photobucket problems! It won't even let me see my own photographs!!

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
