That was an X-35B based loosely on the mock-up rather than the actual aircraft in their attempt to be first to market.

Thankfully its not an F-35B this time around as they were originally going to do their nasty trick of adapting the the prototype to resemble a production machine (AV-8B, Typhoon, F-22 etc). However it is Italeri and it could take as long as the real aircraft to be produced in Italy for the model to come out !!!!.

I can already imagine how many Thunderbirds F-35s there'll be when that kit comes out. Fun idea - those of you in the US or Britain, coordinate among you and build different numbers and then display a full team at the Nats/Telford..

I hope that, aside from being reasonably accurate and well fitting, it comes with a full set of external hardpoints, so one can really load for bear. And some nice stores - SDBs, yes please!

I always thought that the F-35 was not a very aerobatic aircraft. So, not very good for aerobatics troupes.

might become a what-if afterall, i saw a report last week that the Netherlands are concidering the Gripen-E/F and the Superbug due to the rising costs, problems and let-down performance of the F-35

On the second day of a campaign, when all the opposition should have been eliminated, you don't need stealth... 

you dont need the f35 then either lol
