Hi guys,

For a long time I have not posted anything... So this is my new whif project : the Mirage 2000CS.
The kit is the 1/48th M2000C Heller built out of box.

I found the inspiration on this forum if my memory is good :

Pics soon

Thanks

I started the build

I have also somme ideas for modifications of the kit :

Telemeter of the F-1CT :

a PW F-100 nozzle :

For weapons, I think about a couple of AIM-9J and one or two GBU. ;D

I used to know Mirage 2000C in Air Defence blue/grey colors so I'm eager to see what this bird will look like in green camo !
Go ahead  ;D

Hi all,

Thanks for your interest

Jay-jay, I also used to see M2000 in its blue/grey (and green/grey) scheme because I live near from a French air force base ;D

Some news of the build. The Heller kits is maybe the better kit in shape (I don't know the kinetic single seater variant for the moment) of the 2000 but it's not the easiest to make :

Few moments of solitude ahead :banghead:
For the ejection seat, I'm thinking about remplace the MB Mk.10 by a SJU-5 from an Hasegawa F/A-18A. What do you think about it ?

Damien

Jay-Jay

French ? So we're two froggies here   ;D
I well noticed the "pot de mayonnaise" !!Very useful for bitz (when empty of course) !
SJU-5/6 ejection seat is based on Martin Baker Mk10A so, it should not be difficult to swap seats.(I am currently trying to replace a KM36 by an ACES II  :banghead: )
If any interest: http://www.ejectionsite.com/sju56aseat.htm

"Comment ça "Merde alors" ? But you are French ?!"

Good luck with 1/ the Heller's 2000C kit and 2/ the splinter camo  ;)

Jay-jay, Yes i'm french too and thanks for the link. Good luck for the replacement of the KM-36 by the ACES II (I know it is not necessarily easy because I put a MB Mk4 in a Fw-190 ;D )

Slerski, Thanks. The Heller kit is not as easy to assemble as I think at the first time
For the splinter camo, I think I'll curse the friend who chose it

Now, the works since the last update :

- fill the canyon :

- some work on the ejection seat :

- And start of the exhaust nozzle modifications :

At that time, I'm working on the "canal post combustion" (sorry, I don't now the english translation :banghead: )

Reheat, or afterburner, nozzle perhaps?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I think we can say "afterburner exhaust pipe & afterburner rings". Tell you by experience, English is very easy for aeronautic and french can sound very funny ;o)

Your work on the seat is just awesome !

MichelC

I think the proper technical term is: 'can.'  ;D ;D

Nice work, btw, Damien!
