ESCI and/or Italeri did a GR3 IIRC. I think I have one up in The Loft somewhere.....

Tynes would be good, they were a big, reliable powerful engine and would be a great update for almost anything from a Lancaster onwards.  ;D

AFAIK the only injection Tynes ever moulded in 1/72 were the pair from the Heller Transall C-160 though.

The Atlantic also used Tynes as did the export version of the G.222 which was sold to Libya, Kit.  Both are available in injected form, while Revell also does a C-160 as well.

I know it might be a big ask, but how about a Hawk 200 fuselage?  Then the buyer could just throw the wings etc from a cheap Hawk T1 / 100 / T-45 at it !!

PR19_Kit

Aggghh, for some reason my brain has a 'dead cell' where the Atlantique is concerned, I can't even remember the full-size one, let alone the model!  :banghead:

And the Revell C-160 is a whole order better than the Heller one of course.

Who does the G,222 kit, I can't recall that at all, nice looking aircraft altogether. Does it come with Tyne engines as an option?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks guys been a great help, had a better look today and decided to drop the gr1/gr3 harrier an concentrate on other projects. Got the Lightning F.1a kit ready today just need to track down a airfix lighning f.3 for the photos. Had a quick look at parts and found a few engines from hercs, orions and atlantiques in the spairs so they should be ok with a bit of cleaning up. Funny you should mention the hawk 200, i was looking at what it would take using the airfix hawk 100 as a base.

Who else but Italeri?  ;D

They do a G.222 and a C-27J, Kit.  Having checked though, it appears the G.222 is a standard one with T64 engines rather than the G.222T with Tynes.   If some enterprising chap was to produce the Tyne nacelles, he might find a market for a subtly different G.222.  ;D

T tail Hunter?  One of the mock ups had a T tail, so if you went for a Hunter F1, with teh small bore jetpipe and straight leading edge.  And base it to go with the Revell kit.

At least that one's real, it just never got to production.  Another one could be a T Tail Lightning - the SB5  flew with both types of tail and there was little to choose between them.

Delta wing for Lightning?  A TSR2 wing is ideal as a master.

TSR2 VG wing?  (F14 is perfect as a master)

I´ll look into the T tails tomorrow, the delta wing i could do now as i already have a mould for tsr2 wings but this would mean people would have to remove the tail plane mounts on the fuselage. The VG wings i´m quiete keen on doing as i´m thinking of a forward swept  set with flaps and slats dropped?

The Wooksta!

Delta Lightning was to have had tailplanes anyway.   The Lightning Delta was effectively the gap between flaps and fuselage filled.

Only thing you'd need to do with the TSR2 wing is create wheel bays, but that should be easy enough.  IIRC, it scales out almost perfectly and the wing sweep is identical - 60 degrees.

i see now, i´m assuming they don´t have the angled tips of the tsr2 wings?

The Wooksta!

No.  I'd suggest using the Airfix wing, mainly as it's in two halves so you can create the wheelbays, and being plastic, easier to mess about replacing the tips and hiding the join!

Mossie

How about V-Bomber stuff?  An SR.2 camera pack, Red Neck radar pods and RATO pods (the last two were trialed but not adopted).  Vulcan K.2 conversion, air sampling pods and proposed bomb pods.  Valiant, don't think theres a tanker conversion available?  If you wanted to go in depth, people'd love you here for a B.2 pathfinder conversion, phase 6 Vulcan maybe??? ;D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
