Wraith F.1 and GR.2

Since the Star Trek franchise is so...anti-starfighter, if you want a starfighter model and you don't feel like scratch building, I usually wind up porting over something from an existing series; in this case Macross (Robotech)

So, I present to you the Wraith GR.2, pre-paint and minor details, built off of the chassis of the VF-0D Phoenix, from Macross Zero:





Unfortunately, the kit only comes with one pair of pylons, so from the spares box came a pair of Fujimi F-4 and Academy F-15E pylons, a Hasagawa F/A-18 pylon, and the sensors from the same Academy Strike Eagle kit.  The space where the robot head would go was blanked off with sheet plastic, and the gunpod hole filled in with Milliput.  I also put a .32cal bullet in the nose to keep it from becoming a tail sitter.

The F.1 will be somewhat similar, but will have a Tomcat TV sensor system mounted where the targeting pods are.

I'm thinking 4 color SEA for the GR.2 and maybe something Euro One-ish for the F.1

Probably use RW and kit decals for placards, safety warnings and whatnot, but since they're... "privateer-owned", I'll probably put the ship badge on the vertical stabs.  And as for their mother ship, she's the Revenge, suitably updated for the 24th Century.
