Since Airfix aren't giving us a nice new HS Buccaneer kit in 2013, I've added three new sets to my website for the old Airfix 1/72nd scale kit. These include FR Mk.20 buddy pod and pylon (pod also suitable for Scimitar or Sea Vixen), Red Beard bomb and recessed bomb bay and an empty rotated open bomb bay.

I've also listed the Red Beard available seperately (for carriage on a Scimitar wing or whif of your choice), and lastly the Brimstone missile set in 1/48. No images available yet but will hopefully add them over the weekend. The buddy pod and Red Beard are ex-MA range.

For future there will be a few whif related items coming in time hopefully for the Cosford show in April, including TSR2 ECM pods and an accurate reconnaissance pack.

Thanks!

Colin

Say WHAAAAAT ? ? ? ? ?  :o

EDIT: Excitement curbed after finding out I read it the wrong way, reading "are" when it clearly said "aren't".  :banghead: Wishful thinreading!
I propose they'll give us a new one in 2014, then!
Cheers,
Moritz

There was some hope that Airfix would retool their Buccaneer kit to their modern standards, their new weapon sprues are to a more modern standard but the original kit is still the inaacurate and dated 1980s tooling which is why their are a range of resin replacements  (Nose, Tail, wings, cockpit, wheel bays, bomb bay, undercarriage !!!)

Anyway a nice little additions to the kit Colin and the TSR2 bits are nice to see . Plus we still have the whiff and mainstream bits to look forward too along with a possible revamp of one of your rersin kits and maybe the Wasp helicopter  ;D

Hey Colin: I notice you've got the Meng Models Ki.98 for sale. Are you likely to get any other Meng Models in, particularly the new Fiat G.91?

There's an instant easy conversion kit you can get from it too: the Meng kit doesn't include the "tin" (no cameras) nose of the PAN version operated by the Frecce Tricolori. This isn't technically wrong since the FT apparently had three camera-nose ones too, but I think a lot of people would prefer the tin nose if building an FT aircraft.

Another thing you could do is an alternative decal sheet: Portugal (real world), Greece and Turkey (whiffs: they ordered them but then cancelled).

The Aeroclub ones are near impossible to find.  The Aeroteam and AZ props are tricky to assemble, ditto the Special Hobby one which if you do asseble it, the diametre is out anyway.

I get Meng stock from Hannants, I will take a look at the G-91 when it arrives in stock and see what can be done ( I fancy doing decals for No.2 Stormo G-91PAN  in red/white/black 200,000 flying hours scheme).
