Finish off the things I've already started, and most of all get our spare room turned into a craft den, so I can work on things much easier.
Got plenty of plans for things to build. Mostly it's a case of getting parts together, or getting the right kits.
I still aim to build as many of the aircraft from my ongoing story as possible, as they help with my inspiration to write.

To finish off all the builds I started, but kitbashing as I go due to the lack of space. Perhaps sell a few to fellow whiffers or go on line.

The plan is back on track for the C-97 and B-29/50 in 1/72 scale AEW projects.
The Airfix Short Stirling which I have fitted with Acadamey B-17 wings and engines wil become another AEW build as I have used parts from the Revell Privateer kit on the nose and rear.
As for the Privateer, a sort of armed cargo/transport RAF Coastal Command version.
The B-17 is the Acadamey SB kit with Airfix Canberra PR9 wings. A jet powered Flying Fortress without guns.Given up on the Mach2 Atlantique, instead an Revell AEW version and a gunship .
Shin Meiwa flying gunboat or if this goes wrong a LLC-130 Herk.(hull and landing gear fixed to a AC-130H).

1/24 Revell Alternomad Caprice x 2 kits. Ute/pickup and the other to have a new front end.
Might try the Jaguar Type E with the Jag Mk2/3 mix.

CSMO

Some more Unlimited Class racing planes, both post-WW2 and the Reno machines. There is no limit to how colorful to paint them. My limits are the parts and decals in my scrap-box, not what is in my beady little mind.

A Big Thank You to all who post here. It has been fun!

An idea just crossed my mind, take the 1/72 MH-53 Sea Dragon and add the wings off a Rotodome kit & tail.Add the turboprops from an E-2C Hawkeye and fix the landing gear.
The MH-53 with parts from a Sea King AEW & C at the rear stored so it doesn't interfere with the loading ramp.

Been reading some topics on this site and it seems to me that the whiffers would like to see the wings from the Airfix BAe Nimrod grafted to a C-160 Transall.
I've got the Heller kit so I'll put the wings on the Airfix AC-130H and add a pair of auxiliary jet pods under the new wings.
Still going ahead with adding the BAe Nimrod wings to the Revell Br 1150 Atlantic and a P-3C Orion.
Will build the Airfix Nimrod straightish from the box and add Canadian decals, could build the freighter version as I have a couple of Jeeps that will fit on the deck, the LandRover is a very snug fit.
A couple of demilitarized Avro Shackletons.
Finish off some of my part builds and spares & repairs.
Make a start on InchMcColm with some cut boards that can slot together.

A couple of demilitarized Avro Shackletons.

This sounds interesting!  Who would operate them?  Ordnance Survey.....NUMA (shades of Clive Cussler)....National Physical Lab.....RNLI  (Is a Shackleton 'self righting')..... Met Office......Civil Aviation Authority....Coastguard...Oxfam (for surveying disaster areas).........the possibilities are endless. I look forward with eager anticipation to your  work!!

My goal is to retire but, realistically that will have to wait until 2015!!. Not really that far away!!
Ideas?
Hmm! Well I have a few;

Fairey Firedrake - Long range interceptor Based on the Heller Mirage IV but using a completely new twin seat cockpit. Probably graft the forward upper/fuselage/cockpit from a scrapped Phantom. 1/48. NM finish & lots of BFMs (Big F****** Missiles!)

Imperial AT-AV (All Terrain Assault Vehicle) using the Takom 1/35 Object 279 heavy tank ( "down" scaled as 1/72!)

Airbus/Antonov A450 - Joint project for an upgraded & stretched AN-124. R R Trent engines. Haven't yet decided on a "V" or "T" tail

BAC Lightning F7 - Single engined derivative of the only true Lightning. Using the KP 1/48 SU-7 fuselage/tail combined with the cockpit/undercarriage/wings from the Airfix Lightning F-6

BAE/Northrop Night Wraith. Advanced stealth bomber replacing the Vulcan & B-52. Using the old Revell Advanced Technology Bomber kit. Wingtips are broken off & missing from the starboard side so, I have in mind upswept wingtips/fins or, maybe even a "C" wing design - largely because I've never seen a what if with a C wing!!

Also got a couple of ideas using Revell's excellent Arado AR-E555. One for the the Vickers Vengeance - The RAF's first jet bomber. I think it may be possible to graft the nose of a an IL-28 on to this kit. 2 x twin engine pods from an old B-47 kit. Also, I'd like to try a prop driven version. Something along the lines of the aircraft seen in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Funny how it bears quite a resemblance to the AR-E555!!

SAAB/BAC Thunderbolt F1. - Based on SAAB Viggen. Have a pair of the old Airfix kits. By combining the two, I intend to produce a lengthened 2 seat version (NOT a trainer by the way!!) <_<

The Boeing B-54A was ordered by the USAF on 29th May 1948. 7 B-54As and  23 RB-54As, one B-50 would be modified to the new model B-50C.As the wing was to be increased by 20 ft and the fuselage by 10ft 10 inches for a larger bomb capacity. It was to use the same engines as the YB-36C Pratt & Whitney R-4360-51 VDT Wasp Major engines.
The contract was cancelled on 18th April 1949. To offset the weight a second pair of landing gear added to the outboard engines. The tail still kept the upper guns mixed with barbettes.
I've used 1/72 Academy B-29 kits and the Airfix B-29 on other builds. I doubt that I can match the engines but the rest can be completed.
The XB-44 is the B-29 fitted with the B-50 engines.
The Convair XB-41 Liberator buit as an escort version of the B-24D. This proved unsuccessful as the YB-40 (B-17). I propose to use the frontal guns from the Privateer and side gun blisters.

Well I have so many ideas.....

Steampunking a few aircraft...C-47, F4U-4 again....
Fancy and open-topped touring steampunked C-47 but whether it'll be built... :o :o

Collecting parts for a 1/72 Tornado RF3. Based on the Matchbox kit with a RF-4E nose, extended fuselage plug (C-scale kit for the Airfix F2).

1/72 BC-97 based on the Academy C-97 with the bomb bay from the KC-29P as this is getting a resin AEW radome off the HighPlanes Avenger AEW conversion kit. AEW radome mounted above the cockpit as on the US Navy OP-1/B-17s.
Pan Am decals will be used on the airline version of the B-29.

LOVE that idea!

Using the big 'Billboard' SABENA all along the fuselage? That'd look awsome.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
