To try and recover my modelling mojo, so that I can be bothered to build a model !
Oh the thoughts  are there, I just need to find a way to get on and do  something in the material world.

Jim - a modelling knife, some wet & dry paper, some glue and an uncomplicated kit and you're away, old chap.  Remember the Force will be with you, for always.

My plans are not to have any plans. There's an old adage that tells us the road to hell is paved with good intentions. ;D

I've just seen the Mil V-12 helicopter on Wikipedia and thought I can build a smaller version using the Airfix Fairey Rotodyne with parts from the Boeing V-22 Osprey.
The wings and engines from the Osprey with the stack from the Rotodyne cut off. The twin tail fins and landing gear from the V-22 added. A floor in the cargo space added along with the the other spare parts from the V-22 kit.

Just to build a few more kits then last year will be an achievement.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

On the contrary!. It's a decision, in other words, taking action from alternatives.
Planning, on the other hand,, is a process of taking future course of action.😉

I want to build a group of fighter planes from WW2 , converted into race cars , very used ...  Start with some 262 variants of the theme i think 😋
It's a Land Rover, NOT a Jeep . Like a Jeep, but for gentlemen.

As the old military saying goes..or another version of it..plans go out the window the moment you make contact with the enemy..or something like that  ;).
Same with our builds ..a few of will make a plan and stick to it ..most of us ..myself included..will make a plan or an idea and away we go...then change said plans when a cooler idea takes hold ..ive done that on my Helicarrier at least 5 times ..the fifth time us resulting in an entirely new drive system  :banghead:
But damn is gonna look cool 😎 😏
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The original quote, attributed to Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke was : "No plan of operations extends with certainty beyond the first encounter with the enemy's main strength". ;)  . This has certainly been the case with my FW-300 Mjolnir project (based on the Airfix B-29............! ;D .Too many other things get in the way!

With the prospect of returning to my previous job as a security officer on a limited 36 hour week to begin with the stash will be restocked. All those D.I.Y. jobs will be brought forward. I might even finish a few of my larger started builds once the shelves go up in the hobby room. Which is good as I can crack on with the baseboard for my oo gauge model railway layout.
The stash will be mostly card building kits, papers and people plus a few cars. The Airfix quick build vehicles and yes you can convert the LEVC taxi into a Ute.
A new bed and mattress plus a few items of furniture which will be an on going theme followed by a chest freezer.
Well that's the plan over the next five years.

It's a daft idea but might work using the Airfix Fairey Rotodyne and Bristol Superfreighter as the donor models.
The first step would be to switch over the wings and keep the turboprop engines of the Rotodyne but not use the jet-pods of the main rotor. The Rotodyne now becomes a STOL aircraft. I will be receiving the Falcon Triple Conversion set for the Grumman E-1 so the 'stoff with the roof ' will fit on top of the rotor stack. Thus creating a AEW.
The Bristol Freighter was suggested as a short/medium MR or AEW, but rejected as being too slow, with the lack of armament so a whiff is possible in true kitbash tradition.
