structurally, it looks a bit like this (no Sci-Fi, just 50's technology) :

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Somewhere out there on the interweb there exists pics of a model of the Eagle 5.  I found them while doing (gasp!) research.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Regain my hobby room.

My son has started painting and building Warhammer and Citadel figures/vehicles. I'd like to scratch build some futuristic vehicles. He's bought himself an Iwata airbrush and compressor so I might experiment with it, never airbrushed before. Also, I want to revisit the idea of the Oil Wars I started esrlier...Shell, Gulf, BP....maybe the Rockefellers rule the Eastern Colonies ;D. Dinosaurs still in the Antipodes. Lots of thoughts....

Parliament's full of them...

Some of my nephews do the warhammer thing.  Took a lot of effort on my part to make them see they didn't have to buy the expensive warhammer paints.  Still haven't suceeded in persuading them they can kitbash their own armoured vehicles though.

Really lost my modelling mojo of late. Got caught up in reality and now finding it difficult to upgrade to Whif again. Really want to do a variation on Jim Burn's picture "Beyond the Farthest Star" with dinosaur and some other aircraft. I want it futuristic but not nuts, maybe something like out of "Wings of Honneamise"....any suggestions? Could use some advice on figures to use (1/48), already recruited the perfect dino.

Changing Luftwaffe (FW-190's, ME-262's, HE-162's) color schemes from 3 tone earth/sky camo to 2 tone grey. DO-335 in Japanese markings, carrying torpedoes. SS troops raiding an English radar site (1/35th scale), invasion of English airfield by paratroopers in 1/35h and 1/72nd scale.

Captain Canada

For 2014, as far as whif is concerned :

1. Beer
2. Models

That is all

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Long Live the Commonwealth !!!
Vive les Canadiens !
Where's my beer ?

Wife's orders...."Keep it simple". Did a Vietnam based B-25 last year so I'm going to do my own take on an A-26 Invader, same theatre of ops. I'd like to have a go at Roden's T-28 kit, grey/green marines scheme. Then possibly the B-1B in SEA camo circa 1972....backdate it a little (I read an article in one of the modelling mags where someone did similar with a Rafale...very effective)with a simpler weapons bay, stinger cannon etc.

I've got some kits left over from Asiarama that I want to get on with

- US Marine or USN carrier capable Norseman vs Japan, 1945-46
- RAF/SEAC Lightning IV very long range fighter, Cocos Islands 1945 (underway)
- Seafire FR.47 RN/BFP vs Japan, Y-Day 1946
- SB2C-4 Helldiver in French A.F. markings in Siam or Indo-China, 1945-46

And a few others waiting in the wings too
- MiG-27D will have some kind of desert camo for Socialist Union
- Italian Ki-46 Dinah as some kind of Piaggio, ARSI 1944 with mutli-grey scheme
- Aichi D3A1 Val as Regia Aeronautica anti-tank plane with 37mm guns from Ju-87G under-wing, Tunisia 1943 (need to get donor Ju-87G kit)

Plenty to do.
Whatever.

Still have 20+ ideas for whif aircraft on my "project list" - good news is that I seem to be able to work them away and that (at least at the moment) the list does not become ever longer...

Additionally, I have 2 or three anime figure conversion ideas (also whifs, dojinshi-based or own creation) and the respective kits already in stock, and I might, after a while, put my hands again on some Dorvack PAs (anime mecha, manned fighting suits, not Ma.K stuff).

Asiarama thread will stay open until the end of 2014
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

in my line of "crossings" and animal-aircraft hybrids, I have ongoing builds crossing a killer whale and a PZL-24 (1/48), a flying fish and an Airbus 380 (1/800), various combinations of musical instruments with wings, diverse 1/24 cars (mini, beetle, ...) fit on a 1/144 Space Shuttle Booster ; and possibly a few floatplanizations as well ...
